bankmark presents BigBench 1.0 at WBDB in Toronto, Canada

bankmark presents BigBench 1.0 at the 6th Workshop on Big Data Benchmarking (WBDB), which is held on June 16-17, 2015 in Toronto, Canada. The Workshop Series on Big Data Benchmarking brings together industry experts and the academic community towards the development of benchmarks for providing objective measures of the effectiveness of hardware and software systems dealing with big data applications.

bankmark specified and implemented BigBench, which is the first end-to-end big data analytics benchmark suite. BigBench 1.0 builds on and borrows elements from existing benchmarking efforts in the Big Data environment (such as YCSB, TPC-xHS, GridMix, PigMix, HiBench, Big Data Benchmark, and TPC-DS) and has been extended with big data workloads. The relevant data is generated by bankmark’s generic and parallel data generator called Parallel Data Generation Framework (PDGF).
